Right now there is a shortage of inventory – it’s the perfect time to sell your home, but this won’t last. There are many homes that are bank owned that we are waiting to hit the market. When they actually hit the market they could flood us with inventory and lower demand with the increased supply.

The second reason you should sell now is because the interest rates could and should be rising. They have been artificially held down. So wile people can get a 5 to 5.5% conforming rate now, we could see them spike up to the open market rate soon. The open market rate would be the Jumbo rates because they are not funded by the fed. Presently the Jumbo rates are 7 – 7.5%, the “free market price”. If the rates shoot up that high, the buyer pool would start to dry up.
